In the interests of fairness (Mr. Manchester)

I never said he didn't overplay that card. It's part of who he is. And you see they make my point for me about his infidelity - I didn't say he was a great, moral man. I'm not electing a preacher, I'm electing a man who can defend the country if called upon to do so.

And I don't think Obama can defend the country.

Defend the country from whom? Mexico to the south, Canada to the north ? We already spend more money on the military than the rest of the world combined. A truly staggering amount. Which we borrow from China and Russia, our enemies?

Obama could kick McCain's arse. My pet hamster could.

Now that's something I'd like to see: McCain and Obama playing the Anniversay Edition of Trivial Pursuit on live tv!!!!

And....to the other poster: we aren't just borrowing from China (do we borrow from Russia? post a link/send info on that, because that is news to me); we are borrowing, in the finest of American traditions, from generations of children who aren't even IMAGINED yet.

You mean the finest of republican traditions. The democrats clean up after them even if it means raising taxes. Ours, not our grandkids. Fiscal resposibility.

P.S.

I don't have a fannie or freddie mortgage.

I'm not a shareholder in either company.

I don't have a subprime loan.

And yet, why do my taxes have to go up to pay for their bailout, as any NEW president regardless of party will surely have to do in order to keep them from failing?

MrM,

I can only imagine what you would be doing with a hamster....

Anonymous,

What money do we get from China? Are you talking about the money that the democrats got for selling our nuclear technology? Russia has no money, where do you come up with this stuff?

By the way, Terrorist cells are living among us, and they have been attacking every U.S. Embassy abroad for over 30 years. Open your eyes. It would be nice to act on the feelings in your heart on every issue that arises but our enemies don't play that game. At some point you have to use your brain, that is when you will be defined as Republican :)

anonymous,

Rather presumptious of you...
You have no idea how much money we have or don't have. Any even if we are living comfortably, let me assure you that we work our ASSES off for it. WE EARN EVERY PENNY!Where do you work? I put in 80 hours a week! Eliza puts in 55 hours a week and is putting herself through school. I have not asked my family for money since I was 21 nad have paid back what I borrowed, how about you?
I'd say you should start worrying about yourself instead of wasting your time trying to figure out what someone else has. By the way, I work during most of our vacations, we rarely have time to enjoy ourselves if it makes you happy.

Keeping up with the Joneses reaches a new (and laughable) level.

Rather than be narky & snippy & jealous about what Eliza has, how about just being happy for her? She's worked hard for what she has, and should be proud of where she is. And she should be able to enjoy what she has without anyone passing judgement on her!
