I feel insulted.

Newsweek's article this week about the election in the south was entirely about race, and boy did we come off sounding like a bunch of black lynching racists, despite the little (ha ha) white wash the article tried to give us.

Except now we don't want to lynch blacks, we want to oppress hispanics by making them learn english, become citizens, and pay taxes.

Oh heavens above.

I almost feel like that was irresponsible journalism.

Someone else go read that article and let me know what you think.

The media has become nothing but a big fat tabloid for all to read. Even so called prestigious papers like the NY Times have become biased. Read it carefully and see how the editors insert words here and there to provoke certain opinions. Sometimes I wonder if they do that on purpose to dummify the masses to what's really going on.

"Southern Discomfort" lolol - What an idea - I should create my own paper online with stupid headlines since they seem to sell.

I must agree with solarisgirl about the right wing bias in the media. It's owned by big fat cat corporations is why. e.g. Fox's Murdoch or Disney/ABC.

Sol - I invited newsweek (in the comments) to actually interview their readers who are from the South (and commenting on the board) and who were mightily offended....

Never did hear from them.

Besides, couldn't do that...conflict of interest for me.
